A lot of people has been asking if NDU Admission list is out and when it will be out and if you are one of them, then read through this post to see the real truth.

Before i go, let me quickly use this medium to talk briefly on the Admission list!

WHAT IS ADMISSION LIST?

Admission list is the list that contains the name of the candidates that have been offered a provisional admission into a particular school to study a certain course.

Take for instance, the Niger Delta University admission list is the list that contains the name of the candidates that have been offered a provisional admission into the Niger Delta University to study a given course.

Are you now cleared? πŸ€—

Okay, the admission list is categorized into two. They are;

• Merit admission list

• Non-merit admission list

WHAT IS MERIT ADMISSION LIST

Merit list is the list that contains the name of candidates that have been offered admission based on merit! That is, they meet up with their course’s cut off Mark! Usually, they are those that beat their department’s cut off Mark with a very wide margin. Take for instance, a candidate who scores 320 for a course whose cut off Mark is 240. The candidate is much more likely to be in the merit list than a candidate who scores 270. This list is usually called the First List!

This list is usually shared in three different ways which are through Merit (40%), Catchment area (35%) and Elds (Educational Less Developed State) 25% making it 80% of the Admission quota of every department.

Catchment area Admission which is also included into the merit list are for those set of aspirants that are from states that are in the boundary of the state of the given university.

ELDS are for those whose state lack educational development and those states are Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Zamfara, Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba and Yobe. So Aspirants from this states can also gain Admission under merit through this process.

WHAT IS NON-MERIT ADMISSION LIST

Non-merit Admission List is the list of names of the candidates that have been offered admission who did not meet the cut off Mark of the course they chose during the admission process but somehow managed to meet the general Cut off Mark! This list is usually called the Second list.

Although, sometimes, those that meet their courses’ cut off Mark can be in the non-merit list and this is simply because, the gap between the cut off mark and the candidate’s score is very small!

There is another list called supplementary list and I will classify it under non-merit list.

This list is usually called the third list!

But I will stop here to move to the main point here
